Try this Huey’s Special found on the Bi-Lo catalogue!

Lay a sheet of puff or shortcrust pastry on a baking tray and top with slices of peeled and cored apple (leave a 1.5cm border all around). then dot with unsalted butter and sprinkle with sugar before baking in a hot oven.

Apple Crumble

A yummy crumble that’s sooo easy to make!

You’ll need:

Stewed apples or other stewed fruit in a casserole dish

1 cup plain flour
1 cup dessicated coconut
1 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine (give or take)
dash of cinnamon and nutmeg

Mix dry ingredients then add melted butter to moisten into a crumbly dough. Sprinkle crumble over stewed friut, then pop under a hot grill to make crumble golden brown and crispy. Serve with custard or icecream!
