Pikelets

Pikelets

1 cup self-raising flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
1 cup milk

Add egg to dry ingredients, then milk a little at a time to form a smooth batter. Pour tablespoonfuls of batter into a buttered frypan and allow the pikelettes to bubble and brown before turning over to brown other side. Eat warm or cold with butter and jam or honey.
